I am Mirlene Fernanda de Pádua Monte Alegre Mendes, a nursing graduate from PUC Minas Gerais (1997). After 22 years dedicated to nursing, including a decade in intensive care units, my life changed in 2017 when I discovered Lu Jong, Tibetan yoga.

Guided by master Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche, I deepened my practice through spiritual retreats in Europe, Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet, becoming one of the pioneers of this training in Brazil. Today I share my knowledge of integrative and complementary practices through the SUS, making Lu Jong accessible to everyone seeking well-being and balance.

In private sessions I also work with Neural Therapy, broadening care through this nervous-system regulating approach. I also offer classes on the "Lu Jong Class" platform, democratizing this Tibetan practice.

Neural Therapy is an integrative technique that uses local anesthetics, mainly procaine in low concentrations, to treat a variety of health conditions by regulating the nervous system. It is based on the theory that physical and emotional traumas, scars and infections can create "interference fields" in the body, generating energetic blockages that affect the systemic functioning of the body.

Neural Therapy FAQ

Neural Therapy is an integrative medical technique that uses local anesthetics, mainly procaine in low concentrations, to regulate the autonomic nervous system. It identifies and treats "interference fields" – areas of the body where physical or emotional trauma, scars or infections have created energetic blockages. By neutralizing these fields, the body recovers its self-regulating ability, promoting healing in a natural and systemic way.
Neural Therapy is effective for a wide range of conditions: chronic pain (fibromyalgia, migraines, joint pain), emotional disorders (anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress), sleep problems, digestive issues, hormonal dysfunctions, post-surgical and trauma sequelae. It is especially indicated when conventional treatments have not brought satisfactory relief, as it addresses the root of the problem in the nervous system.
The number of sessions varies depending on the complexity and chronicity of the complaint. Many patients report significant improvements in the first 1-3 sessions. Acute conditions usually respond more quickly, while chronic or long-standing complaints may require 5-10 sessions. In the initial evaluation we outline a personalized therapeutic plan with realistic expectations for your specific case.
The needles used are very fine and procaine has an immediate local anesthetic effect, making the procedure very tolerable. Most patients describe it as a mild initial pinch followed by a sense of relief and relaxation. The procedure lasts 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the area treated. After the session you can resume your activities normally, with no need for special rest.
Interference fields are areas of the body that have suffered some kind of aggression (surgeries, traumas, infections, dental procedures) and keep a "memory" of stress in the nervous system. These areas can cause symptoms in distant parts of the body. They are identified through detailed history-taking, scar evaluation, dental history and specific tests during the consultation. Scars, treated teeth, tonsils and emotional trauma areas are common examples.
Yes, and this is one of the most powerful applications of Neural Therapy. The autonomic nervous system is intimately linked to our emotions and traumatic memories are "stored" in the body. The technique acts directly on the nerve centers related to the stress response, helping to release old trauma and restore emotional balance. Patients with anxiety, panic disorder, PTSD and depression often report significant improvements.

Lu Jong is a sacred Tibetan Yoga practice with over 8,000 years of history, developed by monks in Himalayan monasteries. "Lu" means body and "Jong" means training or transformation. The practice combines specific bodily movements, conscious breathing and mental focus to harmonize the body's subtle energy channels. It is transmitted by Master Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche, one of the few masters authorized to teach this tradition in the West.
Absolutely! Lu Jong was specifically developed to be accessible to everyone, regardless of age, physical condition or previous experience with yoga or meditation. The movements are gentle, kind and can be adapted to your individual needs. Many practitioners started with no experience and now reap deep benefits. The practice respects every body's limits and evolves at each person's pace.
The benefits of Lu Jong are deep and far-reaching: significant reduction of stress and anxiety, increased flexibility and muscle strength, improved emotional and mental balance, strengthened immune system, relief of chronic pain in the spine and joints, improved sleep quality, increased vitality and energy, development of more awakened, present awareness, and a deeper connection between body, mind and spirit.
Unlike other modalities, Lu Jong was created specifically with deep therapeutic and spiritual purposes. The movements work with the five elements of Tibetan medicine (earth, water, fire, air and space), the vital organs and the subtle energy channels. It is gentler and more meditative than many Westernized yoga practices, focusing not on complex postures but on the quality of movement and inner awareness. The practice keeps its ancestral Tibetan authenticity.
Ideally you should practice daily, even if only 15-20 minutes in the morning. Consistency is more important than duration – practicing 15 minutes every day brings more benefits than one long weekly session. Even so, practicing 2-3 times a week will already bring significant benefits within a few weeks. Over time, the practice becomes a natural part of your self-care routine and you will miss it when you don't practice.
The trial class is an opportunity to experience Lu Jong with no commitment. It lasts approximately 1 hour and includes: presentation of the history and philosophy of the practice, learning a few basic movements of the five elements, conscious breathing techniques and a guided relaxation. They work in two main ways: through inhalation (the aromatic molecules affect the brain's limbic system, the center of emotions and memories) and topical application (absorption through the skin for local and systemic benefits).
